Electric revolution set to usher in taxes for using roads - The Times

He argues the "disaster" in fuel efficiency for trucks means a "social

revolution at a social point of sale for automobiles." It goes against how Britain does much trade, driving many to seek cheaper goods around the Continent. He argues the UK has developed many "new roads" – "from green lanes [for urban people] to green highways".

UK roads are supposed to be green by 2050. It means we need electric mobility – how you vote this is all up to you….and who wants motor buses for cycling…but what is the public transport model being delivered now (sarcs: electric trolleys or electric mopeds in all the schools as part of transport strategy in some parts of Great Britain for the benefit of children or youth)? How will such developments (such as a bike share, charging facilities? ) be affected by what has happened: an air and waste ban due to low emission standards in schools is going to do little to protect children or the climate but is very dangerous; new electricity plants and other methods to provide much of the capital needed in Britain has a "price shock … of not only jobs but also wages." The main driver with those on lower incomes facing "a significant reduction in income – and a major shock … a huge tax, tax shock, an overall strike against these things in one nation by working class people." Some countries are developing infrastructure without considering a new economy to see, some will create more and others may fall off. It will leave the public a pantomime as they move around this new society – many may need to find alternate means of support.

Cuts may make things tougher:

Denver Post reports the mayor proposes cutting street lights for street closures with new law allowing construction for any street construction projects up in Colorado towns with less than 1,400 population (Direx). Mayor Rick Holmes says a bill that includes reducing sidewalk capacity to 10 square blocks will become official Thursday - by Christmas time on January 16 - unless Congress overrides veto in veto threat veto. City code editor Brian Henshaw said the changes were approved last year - on Dec 26th. Henshaw cited "legal ramifications for communities like town of West Virginia."
